The University of Toronto offers Lester B. Pearson International Scholarships for international students who wish to study in Canada. Pearson International Scholarship Program for international students wishing to continue their undergraduate studies. This scholarship to study in Canada is awarded to students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and leadership skills during their school careers. Special consideration will be given to candidates who have made an impact on the life of their school and community and who have the ability to make a positive contribution to the global community. Each year, approximately 37 international students who are awarded these scholarships to study in Canada will receive the Lester B. Scholarships. Pearson Scholars.

Scholarship duration: 4 years.


Applicants must be international citizens.

Applicants must be in their final year of secondary education or have recently completed secondary school.

Applicants must have started their studies at the University of Toronto in the same academic year in which they apply for both the University and the scholarship program.

York University scholarships for international students

Scholarships for International Students at York University are awarded to international students who wish to pursue undergraduate studies in the faculties of Art, Media, Performance & Design, Environmental Studies, Education, Glendon, Health, and many more. Canada universities offer scholarships of two types:

Global Leader Of Tomorrow Scholarships, and

International Entrance Scholarships of Distinction.

Scholarship Benefits: The Global Leader of Tomorrow Award offers students a sum of CAD 20,000 per year and The International Entrance Scholarship Award offers a sum of CAD $35,000.

Duration of scholarship: 4 years for both scholarships


Applicants must be international students with a study permit and must have applied to an undergraduate program at York University.

Candidates must apply to York University immediately following high school within two years of graduation and must not hold another undergraduate degree

Candidates must demonstrate outstanding academic achievement with at least an “A” grade and must also possess leadership qualities and demonstrate a commitment to community building

Candidates must be nominated by their high school and must upload at least one letter of recommendation

Candidates must complete and submit the application form by the deadline to be considered.
